First I carefully laid out the center line with a scale and scriber, then masked off 1" around the center line. Next I sprayed a coat of flat black paint for maximum contrast.

I then fogged on 4 ultra-light, ultra-fast coats of silver paint so that it wouldn't wick under the fish line.
